...As it inception with Dave Seaman’s selection un 2000, the Master Series encapsulates the defining sound of Renaissance at a particular moment in time. The latest to take the baton reflects a newly global outlook. A deep progressive house legend with a genius for genre-trashing eclecticism, Buenos Aire’s hernan Cattaneo has become South America’s first dance deity.
For the first tome Hernan played with Renaissance in 1999, crowds’ responses to his deep, dirty edge spiced with the slightly twisted breaks he’s famous for, always confirmed he was the right choice. But it wasn’t until a home turf gig at Clubland (Saturdays @ Pacha Buenos Aires) that from a frantic dancefloor, the Renaissance crew saw al the Argentinean is capable of. Not a soul left the floor for the duration of his set, and during a swirling breakdown in the Humate remix of Schiller’s ‘Das Glockenpiel all the 3000 people in the club crouched down. As the music slowly built back, edging towards a thunderous reintroduction, the slowly began to rise, carefully following the intensity of the break until the bass and beat finally kicked-in and the all bounced back in unison, a sea of hands and deafening cheers. One of the defining moments in the history of Renaissance world tours.
Rupert Mellor.

Enjoy!
Abrazo!

p.d: tambein hay une entrevista a Hernan pero es mas larga, en otro momento la copio tambien por que vale la pena.
