artist: MANUEL SOFIA title: AN ENDLESS FOREST label: Sudbeat mixes: Robert Babicz cat #: SB0012 release date: 01/11/10
Sudbeat welcome another resident of Argentina, Manuel Sofia for an exciting debut release. Having made his first appearance on the label remixing Hernan Cattaneo and John Tonks' 'July' (SB008), Manuel is now handed the controls himself, and takes us on a journey to, 'An Endless Forrest'.
The 26 year old producer from Buenos Aires was born into a music family, as the son of a renowned classical pianist. Music was already in the blood, and at the age of 16 he set out on his own musical journey. Having tuned his skills behind the decks, at 21 the time had come to enter into the world of production.
Since that time, Manuel has released and remixed for labels including Audiotherapy, Hope Recordings, Natura Sonoris, Sprout, Electribe and Global Underground, as well as his very own Noizen Records. His brand of beautifully melodic progressive-tech, has already won him a legion of big name fans. Having travelled the world, and played many of the most legendary of venues, 2010 looks to be yet another exciting and groundbreaking year for the Argentine.
"An Endless Forrest" once again sees Manuel demonstrate his skill for crafting the most elegant of melodies and atmospheres. Sparkling synths, intensely warm bassline and diamond-cut keys, work together to whist us away on a wave of euphoria.
Coming fresh off the back of the success of, not only his 'Immortal Changes' album, but also the launch of his very own Babiczstyle label, Robert Babicz presents his vision of "An Endless Forrest". Delving deeper than the original, Robert surrounds us in fluid waves of throbbing synths throughout. Sounds of the night play their part too as Babicz creates his very own outdoor, dancefloor canopy.
