Manuel Sofia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1981. Son of a renowned argentine classic pianist, he lived and breathed music early in his life.
Named by Hernán Cattaneo at DMC Update Magazine as one of the upcoming latinamerican talents, up until now he has played in Argentina’s biggest and trendiest clubs and countries such as Germany, United States, France, Canada, Brazil, México, Spain, Poland, Turkey, Belgium, Greece, Slovenia, Switzerland, Paraguay and Uruguay, among others. Manuel also has been honored to play in festivals like Creamfields Buenos Aires in 2001 and 2008, Love Parade Festival in 2008, Eclipse Festival in Canada and Fusion Festival Germany.
As a producer he has released and signed tracks and remixes to labels such as Audio Therapy, Natura Sonoris, Global Underground, Sudbeat, Hope, Proton, Sprout Germany, Electribe, Noizen, Beef Records, Swift, Acute, Pissed Off, Off Side, Vivid Trax, Vapour, Vapourize, Politik and Mashtronic. Many of his tracks have been supported by renowned djs such as: Sasha, Hernán Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Satoshi Tomiie, D-Nox, Funk D’Void, Oliver Klein, Dave Mothersole, Nick Warren, Henry Saiz, Jodi Wisternoff, Slacker, G-Pal and Guy J, among many others.
He had the privilege of being part of tracklists in numerous compilations like: Hernán Cattaneo’s Master Series Parallel [Renaissance], Hernán Cattaneo Sequential 1 [Renaissance], Dave Seaman Master Series [Renaissance], Audio Therapy: Spring/Summer 2008 mixed by Jim Rivers [Audio Therapy], Kosmas Epsilon & Luke Chable Addicted [Platipus], G-Pal 1 [Swift], G-Pal contra Anna Maria X [Swift] and Prime Cuts [Beef Records].
Manuel hosted a weekly radio show in KSK Radio in Argentina for over 2 years with luxury guests like Satoshi Tomiie, Funk D’Void among others. He also hosted a monthly show at Frisky Radio, called “Groupies Ears Bomber” with past guests Guy J, Chaim, Plass, Baunder, Oliverio, Elias Tzikas and Baudelaire.
Manuel owns a record label called Noizen. Having released music from Argentina’s most upfront musicians like Soundexile, Dartek, Fefo & Arcas, Baudelaire and foreign artists such as Henry Saiz, Cora Novoa and Gabe & Ido Ophir, Noizen spreads worldwide Manuel’s taste on music, focusing on music with a message, music with melodies, from Manuel’s homeland to the rest of the world.

Groningen (Netherlands) based Nightbird Music aims to bring you 'deephouse music for your inner soul' !
Estroe as artist and label owner EevoNext an established name in the (inter) national techno scene. In late 2009, her album "Elemental Assets" (Connaisseur Recordings) that the media is renowned for its melodic approach. Taras Van De Voorde is a Rotterdam DJ and producer who tracks an opinion on EC, the label of Michel de Hey, as well as Wolfskuil, Manual, Stolen Moments, Noir, Moodmusic &Rebirth.
"Hear This" is the title of a special track that producers of the Taras and Estroe Voorde originally made as part of a project that helps poor indonesian schoolchildren, whose vocals are also processed in the final result.
"It's a melodic, cheerful and energetic tech house track has become, where we have tried our best vocals in a natural way to integrate," explains Estroe out. The vocals are of primary school pupils of the Indonesian SDK Pusu, a remote school in the island of Flores. They sing the song "Rindu Mama 'which is about orphans who miss their mother. A sad song, but Estroe and Van de Voorde transformed into a beautiful dance track. Completely according to the Face This formula mixes with Dutch Indonesian creativity creativity and profit to support Indonesian education.
03. Alex Niggemann - Lately [Poker Flat Recordings | PFR 119]Popping up on labels like 8Bit, Supernature and Tsuba, releasing quality tech-house and club-assured cuts since 2008, we‘re delighted to welcome German producer Alex Niggemann to Poker Flat. This new EP raises Niggemann‘s game with three tracks taking in heavy acid bass, chicago-house vibes and inventive, smooth flowing arrangements.
'Lately‘ is a real stomper in the classic Poker Flat tradition. Haunting, acidic, modern, club guaranteed! Niggemann twists a spooky and funky synth line around a heavy old-school house vibe, complete with a thoughtful smokey-voiced naration.
'Madness' lifts the tension higher with a sub-heavy chigaco bass attack, 2011 style. Alex has fused the best of both old and new and found a new sound that leaves behind rigid sound in favour of more funky, warmer and totally fresh vibes!
The EP concludes with 'Smash Your Face‘, a groovy houser that rolls wonderfully with more growling square wave bass and plenty of details to keep the flow nothing short of riveting.

Dousk (Ιοannis Douskos) is a much vaunted Progressive-House DJ & producer from Greece. Born in Athens in 1979, he completed his classical music studies in 1999. The studies included classical piano, jazz and electronic music production/engineering. 'Estrange' originally appeared on CD2 of Hernán's The Masters Series 2 with his later track 'Florence' cropping up on Sequential. The earlier 'Pa Dida' [Bedrock Records] was massive for Hernán at the 'Def Mix' night @ Pacha ibiza I went to in 2004

05. Pig & Dan - Tears Of A Clown [Techno Therapy Records | TT006]They dynamic duo, Pig & Dan bring things home and release their smash hit track Tears of Clown with Techno Therapy Records. Dan, originally from London has had a long history or witting electronic music hits spanning from Drum & Bass to Techno. Pig, real name Igor met with Dan nearly over a decade ago to form what has been one of the most interesting duos. Popularity has seen them feature regularly on Sven Vath's Cocoon Recordings. The new release 'Tears of a Clown' has seen support from some of the most prominent stalwarts months before release, the tracks swing comfortably between all genres from house, techno, deep house and hints of progressive. A series of remixes from some cool producers have shone amazing new light on the release, the inimitable London based Max Cooper has left an emotive mark with long pulsating bass-lines adorned with clicks and glitchy sounds. Another by Colin John, label boss of Techno Therapy takes things on a merry go round with a series of build up's and big drops, using interesting snippets from the original to create a distinctive tech house mix. Finally, Ryan Davis of Germany, no stranger to Techno Therapy Records, brings a more progressive techno approach. A very seriously crafted track, ruthlessly set in regiment, it targets its listener, slowly captivates and.. bursts. An all round supremo release from Techno Therapy Records.

06. Elon feat. Maceo Plex - Bummalo [ReSolute Label | RES002]
Elon teams up with Maceo Plex to produce ReSolute Label’s second release, the Bummalo EP. Gripping vocals, mind-shredding bass lines, industrial echos, shimmering high-pitched details, a subtle darkness, and the feel of New York underground melting into the gleaming dancefloor energy of the two producers, are just a few of the things to expect from this enthralling production.
Bummalo is a throbbing, percussive piece. It’s upbeat rhythm, echoing touches and swinging harmonies are bound to make the enthusiasts quiver with excitement. The second track on the A-side – Chordate – accentuates the sense of timeless, ecstatic delirium that the title-track kicks off with. The tempo slows, the bass line becomes more obscure, and melodies plunge deeper in this brooding, powerful dub.
The B-side is marked by the haunting vocals so characteristic to Maceo’s style, as well as by the thrumming, thumping sounds of the lowest range, signed Elon. Floating Faces is a hypnotic, deep vocal track that is sure to hover on listeners’ minds for days to come.
The EP treks through a range of musical styles, demonstrating the two producers’ artistic flexibility and creative ability. Each track builds to the next, creating a continuous sense of thrilling tension, but never losing sight of the label’s signature sound – the underground soul of NYC.
Data Transmission Review 8/10With longtime resident DJ Elon taking the helm, the ReSolute Label recently launched to much lauded fanfare and praise from press and DJ's alike. The label's second offering sees label boss Elon taking it to the studio with hotly tipped mega producer, Maceo Plex (aka Eric Estornel; better known in recent years for his dark and twisted techno stylings under his Maetrik moniker).
Within the product of this instantly intriguing collaboration, we hear heavy influences from both producers. Following his widely appraised LP on Crosstown Rebels earlier this year, we've come to expect light-hearted and soulful house from Maceo Plex; but Elon's influence is instantly felt as lead track Bummalo launches into orbit. Bummalo immediately veers into darker heavier territory, by utilizing a dark, driving bassline; crunching percussion, and a constant barrage of chords drenched in reverb and delays. Bummalo aims for the appeal of late night crowds, and it certainly succeeds in it's mission. I expect we'll be able to hear this one deep in the basements of New York and London all summer.
Floating Faces delivers a highly effective and infectious combo of darkness and sex appeal; two very different ranges of aural emotion which are rarely coupled together with such expert precision. Floating Faces will likely stand the test of time to be the long-term favorite from this release, which cements the reSolute Label as one of the industry's most promising new labels.
Ibiza Voice Review 8/10It is rare that I Voice gets fired up about a label enough to give them consistent coverage, there are simply too many deserving imprints to warrant any special treatment for a chosen few. New York City's ReSolute, however, bucks that trend with reviews of the label's first two releases.
The second release, "Bummalo" is by label founder Elon and the incandescent Maceo Plex, together they provide another solid piece of funky house music for a label that is fast becoming one of note.
The title track is energetic, spunky, and pretty much guaranteed to be one of the big summer time hits. It's also a bit generic in some ways, falling in to the nebulous funky house category that used to be associated with those cheesy Defected compilations complete with half-naked girl cover art but since that genre has been mostly overrun by the electro house mafia tracks like "Bummalo" find their way creeping back in to the underground. Fortunately that side of the world has also been infested - with bleeps, bloops, and other soulless bullshit - making this track sound crisp and fresh despite the obvious vintage influences.
The real winner on here is on the B-side, titled "Floating Faces". This is a midtempo shuffler in the vein of the Art Department and Wolf+Lambs of the world. Deep, jazzy grooves give it a slight downtempo edge while the dreamy vocals provide an arresting quality that allows listeners to truly get lost in the musical sophistication here, something so often lacking from dance floor cuts. Here musical possibilities are brought front and center for a track that provides a window in to the current New York dance music scene.
07. Cozzy D & Eric Volta - The Gift (Kevin Griffiths Northern Exposure Mix) [Four:Twenty Recordings | FOUR060]Bristol’s Four:Twenty has slowed down its singles output considerably over the last 12 months which makes a single like ‘The Gift’ by Cozzy D & Eric Volta all the more attractive.
Immerse artist Planas, who has seen considerable love in dubstep and beyond, Tsuba’s Kevin Griffiths and NRK man Nick Harris all deliver remixes on ‘The Gift’, which lends yet more weight to an already hefty package.
In it’s original form, ‘The Gift’ is a hypnotic, low-slung houser that wraps itself around flowing ethnic instrumentation and vocals superbly. Understated in terms of elements yet incredibly memorable and absorbing, it’s an excellent slice of tech-house which fits the Four:Twenty bill perfectly.
After being introduced to Planas via releases on fellow Bristolian imprint Immerse, Four:Twenty were desperate to engage the London-based dubstep artist with remix duties. Thankfully Planas enthusiastically obliged and has turned in a frentic rub that oozes rich percussive touches and respectfully retains the original’s epic vibe.
The Bristol theme continues with NRK label boss Nick Harris’ interpretation – a tripped out number that slides from moody hypnotics into a stunning chord-drenched beauty that is another winner from the veteran dj/ascendant producer.
Tsuba boss Kevin Griffiths, fresh from his label’s 5th anniversary celebrations and successes with the Ltd and Colours offshoots, serves up the penultimate remix and does so in his typically modern style. Dubby and drawn out, it’s a late-night cut that will keep feet pounding and heads down.
The orchestral pomp of the ‘Night Plane’ remix closes the package with a rousing flourish – a fitting end to an EP which ties together a host of styles so well.
08. Claus Von Klunk - Fandango (Dousk Remix) [Vapour Recordings | VR100]In April Pure Substance (Kuala Lumpa) was very excited to report that they had officially licensed the track 'Fandango' by Claus Von Klunk to *Kasey Taylor's 'Vapour Recordings' to be included in their 100th release!!

With over 30,000 views on YouTube, Mango & Kazusa's "Asphalt Lines" is a modern day progressive hit, re-issued now with remixes from Royal Sapien (Olaris), Ryan Davis (*back home), Ucleden (Apollo, Hype), and Dezza (Dezire).
Since "Asphalt Lines" release in October of 2009, Russia's Mango, progressive heavyweight at the helm of the Mango Alley radio show & music label, has since appeared on Enormous Tunes, Unreleased Digital and Starlight with multiple Progressive Top 100 best-sellers on Silk Royal, Silk Digital, and Proton Music. When he's not busy making music look good, he runs the Olaris record label out of his apartment in Brooklyn, hosts shows on both Proton Radio and Frisky Radio, and has put out a set of Imogen Heap remixes that have received over 29,000 listens on SoundCloud alone.
Ucleden, a rising Romanian producer based out of Germany, burst onto the scene in 2010 with critically acclaimed EPs on Hype Muzik and Apollo. His recent collaborations with Ricky Ryan have landed him releases on Vapour and Sick Watona.

Following, success of their heavyweight Bilder, John Digweed and Nick Muir return with a brand new creation, 30 Northeast. Its a spine-tingling, fizzing, spiralling, big-room monster in its original form, a blueprint thats taken deeper, superbly, into classic house territory by Abe Duque.
The track title, 30 Northeast refers to the street address of Vagabond in Miami, USA. The club that so effectively captured the energy of a John Digweed DJ set last year, that became his first ever commercially available live DJ mix. John Digweed Live at the Vagabond, recorded live at the 9th Annual Bedrock/Creations Party at Vagabond Miami 27th March 2010, was included on the Structures bonus DVD as yet another musical milestone. A live mix complete with slideshow, it captured the essence of an amazing Bedrock Party for posterity (

Between them, John Digweed and Nick Muir, producers of the finest electronic dance music, have been involved in many pivotal moments in the world of club music over the years and have in many ways helped to define genres & push the boundaries further. As with all their releases, 30 Northeast is another mission statement to show that they are not resting on past laurels but always developing their sound in an exciting direction.
Remix duties fall to USAs Carlos Abraham Duque Alcivar, aka Abe Duque, the perfect candidate to take 30 Northeast in another exciting direction and provide a fitting alternative to the Original, two great versions of one great track, means yet another great release from Bedrock.
Review (plainandsimple.tv) What does it sound like?
Diggers and Muir take things back to the old school, complete with enough sheen to mark the production details out as wholly 2011. Both are beaten to the 90s by the American remixer whose penchant for early rave is clear from the retro keyboards.
It’s not too surprising though, as was said the source material offers something of a timeless vibe. Thunderous string stabs rise and fall in an intimidating manner, while chugging bass and heavy kicks pad out a compulsive path. Before long we’re given a brief break while distant organs play out a similar tune, and then one of those tracking hooks drops and you realise who’s behind the masterplan. From there it grows, grooves, and pans its way to more classic tones, this time in the shape of a spooky, plucked synth melody with horn extensions; proggy techno no less.
Where would I dance to it?
Main rooms, small rooms, it doesn’t matter about size so long as it’s a very dark room.
What highlights can I expect to hear?
Unquestionably the two bossmen’s original, though Duque’s reworking is probably going to fit in with more playlists. Regardless 30 Northeast isn’t just a great track, it’s a fitting representation of an imprint that has managed to put out music of a very specific style for over a decade, while still sounding innovative and essential on almost every occasion.
Why should I pay for it? Chances are you already know the answer to this, whether it’s a legal or moral one. Either way quality deserves credit.

Review (Beats and Beyond) 8/10John Digweed and studio partner Nick Muir return with 30 Northeast, another sweet slab of pure progressive action…
As if the summer isn’t already going to be expensive enough, JD’s Bedrock label has been releasing so much stuff lately that we can imagine prog freaks going flat broke (but crazy) over its recent output. 30 Northeast is another perfect example of the label’s sheer quality output. The tune is built around a both uplifting as hypnotizing melody, supported by JD and Nick’s trademark beats. The vibe is, again, amazing, and guarantees a jumping crowd when timed right. On the flip side we find Abe Duque’s remix, a more easy going track with roaring synthesizers and a techier approach. A sure shot for sweaty basement destruction.
Our verdict:
We didn’t expect it to be anything else, but this EP once again confirms Bedrock’s status as a leading label in the industry. Hot stuff.
